Campaigning is when we get together and put pressure on decision makers to make a specific change that will improve our lives. By campaigning together we can improve lives, bringing more happiness and security in later life. Age UK campaigns on a range of issues from calling for reform of the way care services are provided, to trying to improve the bus route in our local community. Once the issue is identified we put pressure on the key individuals who have the power to make the changes we want. Campaigning is something we can all get involved in, whether it’s writing to our MP, signing a petition, or simply telling our friends and family about the issue. By joining together we can improve later life for all of us.
Home Care services offer practical help and support to people at home with essential daily tasks they are unable to manage safely for themselves.
Disability, according to the World Health Organization, is "...an umbrella term, covering impairments, activity limitations, and participation restrictions. An impairment is a problem in body function or structure; an activity limitation is a difficulty encountered by an individual in executing a task or action; while a participation restriction is a problem experienced by an individual in involvement in life situations.
